Contract Award Review Policy: Contracts Over $100,000 (Reportedly Rescinded)

According to multiple news reports (CNN, Federal News Network) and a report issued by the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs (HSGAC), the Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem instituted a new policy whereby any contract valued at over $100,000 had to be personally reviewed by the Secretary before being awarded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The policy was reportedly rescinded by Secretary Mullin.
