SBA Lays Off Employees in COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan Servicing Center

On April 18, 2025, the Small Business Administration (SBA) notified employees in its COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan Servicing Center (CESC) that they were being laid off. According to Government Executive, the notice reportedly indicated: "We are exercising the intermittent provision of your employment agreement. As such, your last working day on this assignment will be May 16, 2025.”
