EPA Restricts Employee Ability to Vote During Workday

On November 3, 2025, the Environmental Protect Agency (EPA) issued a memorandum restricting employee access to time off for voting and advising that "employees generally are not entitled to administrative leave to vote during work hours if there is sufficient time before or after the workday to vote.” During the prior administration, employees were granted administrative leave to vote and, in some cases, to serve as volunteer poll workers.
