Office of Special Counsel (OSC) Opens Investigation into Jack Smith

At the request of a Republican member of Congress and despite having announced that it would refrain from filing Hatch Act complaints against former officials pending the resolution of litigation on the issue, the Office of Special Counsel (OSC) announced that it had opened an investigation of former Special Counsel Jack Smith for an alleged Hatch Act violation.
