FOIA Request Reveals 10,000 VA Employees Resigned

In response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request from the media outlet the War Horse, the Department of Veterans Affairs provided a list of approximately 10,000 employees who participated in the Deferred Resignation Program and resigned in 2025. The War Horse made the full list available online. The War Horse noted that, while most positions were administrative, IT, or managerial, "214 nurses, 35 doctors, and 24 police were on the list provided to The War Horse."
