CBP Recruitment & Retention Incentives

In 2026, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) rolled out significant recruitment and retention bonuses for officers. CBP agents were eligible to receive up to $40,000 in retention bonuses, and new agents could receive $20,000 in recruitment bonuses plus an eventual $40,000 in retention bonuses. There were additional incentives for other positions.
