HHS Office of General Counsel Announces Reorganization Effort

On March 11, 2025, the Department of Health and Human Services announced a reorganization of the department's Office of General Counsel. As part of the move, the department eliminated six of its ten regional counsel offices and consolidated their functions in the remaining four offices in Philadelphia, Atlanta, Kansas City, and Denver. The reorganization also created a new senior position, the Chief Counsel for Food, Research, and Drugs, responsible for supervising the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Chief Counsel.
