Staffing Cuts at FDA Lead to Fewer Food & Drug Inspections

As a result of significant staffing cuts at the Food and Drug Administration, the number of domestic and international inspections of food facilities reportedly have decreased significantly. Speaking anonymously with The Guardian, former FDA employees warned of risks to public safety and cautioned that the "decimation of the federal workforce" would set the FDA and other federal agencies back for decades.
