The Department of Energy (DOE) announced a reorganization in November 2025. The initial announcement did not include details beyond an unannotated organizational chart. The new organizational structure shifted the department's focus to fossil fuels, minerals and nuclear programs and away from renewable/clean energy and infrastructure.
