NIH Rehired HR Employees It Previously Terminated

After laying off employees in an April 2025 reduction in force (RIF), the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) began issuing reinstatement notices to 150 human resources employees it had fired so that they could process the paperwork of other employees who accepted the deferred resignation offer.
