Presidential Memorandum | April 9, 2025

A presidential memorandum ordered the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to investigate former DHS chief of staff Miles Taylor to determine whether his conduct violated suitability standards for federal employment and whether he leaked classified information. Trump had long criticized Taylor for his public criticism of the Trump administration. The memorandum also directed the Department of Justice and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to suspend any active security clearance Taylor may have still held.
