Extension of Hiring Freeze

Presidential Memorandum | April 17, 2025

This Presidential Memorandum extended a pre-existing hiring freeze until July 15, 2025. It also mandated that any federal hiring be done in accordance with a forthcoming Office of Personnel Management (OPM) memorandum implementing Executive Order 14,170 ("Reforming the Federal Hiring Process and Restoring Merit to Government Service").
