Implementing the President’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Initiative for a Modernized, Efficient, & Expedient Retirement Process

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) issued this memorandum to announce that retirement packages would be required to be fully digital. This memo directly tied the new program to the involvement of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in OPM's activities. However, some suggested that the digitization effort had been ongoing for a number of years and was thus not a direct result of DOGE involvement.
