EO 14,147: Ending the Weaponization of the Federal Government

This Executive Order (EO) directed agencies to review the last administration’s activities for “weaponization” and submit reports to the president. The EO directed the Attorney General to focus on "all departments and agencies exercising civil or criminal enforcement authority of the United States, including, but not limited to, the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Federal Trade Commission." It directed the Director of National Intelligence to do the same for agencies in the Intelligence Community.
