DHS Workforce Transition Program

According to media reports, in early April 2025, Secretary Kristi Noem sent an email to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) employees titled "Reshaping of the DHS Workforce." The email referenced that DHS employees were eligible to participate in a "Workforce Transition Program," which provides incentives such as early retirement, a voluntary separation payment, or a version of the Deferred Resignation Program. Previously, many DHS employees were not offered the Trump Administration's first Deferred Resignation Program (aka the "Fork in the Road" offer).
